INTERFAITH CLERGY PRAYERATHON

MARCH has called upon clergy to provide witness and accompany the brave community of Minnesota during these troubling times. We are sure that thousands of our colleagues will answer the call. (see the Call : https://www.marchminnesota.org/ )

I am adding an additional call on top of the other calls, because well, I am a Black woman and I had a praying grandmama. The larger reason is that I am a trained community organizer, and when it's time to make a call, it's just that time. You feel it.

Please answer the call to join from Midnight to Midnight, beginning on Jan 23rd, to cover our colleagues, activists, and the Minnesota community in prayer in virtual solidarity and protection. It will be a truly interfaith platform, focusing on liberation and inclusive love, featuring many, many faiths and representative of Beloved Community. There will be altars built, candles, meditations, and empathic prayer.

This is for clergy -- If you consider yourself clergy, or are a lay minister, you’re welcome to hold space. If you are an organizer with a call to care, please sign up and I will reach out
You will be asked to allow myself, Rev. Crystal, to verify who you are.
The Prayerathon will run from Jan 23 at midnight Eastern to midnight Pacific (27 hours) If we feel inclined to keep going, we will touch base as a group
We ask you to select 1-hour blocks (up to 3 depending on availability)
The clergy represented will be balanced across interfaith representations
You will be asked to sign a covenant that we will be pastoral, caring, and inclusive
We will be live-streaming on Tiktok and Facebook, as this is an opportunity to allow people to find peace and resolve during this difficult time -- you will have the flexibility to be anonymous during your time, if needed.
