INTERFAITH CLERGY PRAYERATHON

UU NJ Faith In Action has called upon clergy to provide witness and accompany them to Delaney Hall in NJ.

We are sure that thousands of our colleagues will answer the call.

Please join us from Midnight to Midnight, July 13, to cover our colleagues, activists, and the NJ community in prayer in virtual solidarity and protection. It will be a truly interfaith platform, focusing on liberation and inclusive love, featuring many, many faiths and representative of Beloved Community. There will be altars built, candles, meditations, and empathic prayer.

Last time it was just clergy and case by case for others, and yall showed up!!!! -- Therefore we have expanded this to include lay ministers, Religious educators and organizers etc. with a Call to care.
You will be asked to allow myself, Rev. Crystal, to verify who you are.
The Prayerathon will run from July 13 at midnight eastern to midnight
We ask you to select 1-hour blocks ( this time around I am sick so I will need help )
The clergy represented will be balanced across interfaith representations
You will be asked to sign a covenant that we will be pastoral, caring, and inclusive
We will be live-streaming on Twitch (and Tiktok and Facebook if my tech cooperates), as this is an opportunity to allow people to find peace and resolve during this difficult time -- you will have the flexibility to be anonymous during your time, if needed. Also, I will go in and out of being the live streaming part this time around. If there is enough interst we can just be together on Zoom.
